Tools and Hardware Reviews of Milwaukee 48-08-0401 Quik-Lok Job SawCustomer Review: Ultimate Keyhole Saw Summary: 5 StarsKeyhole, Schmeehole. This accessory crushes the competition. Along with the saw, I bought the milwaukee Sawzall blade set that has a multitude of blades and I've used every one of them in the 8 months that I've had the tool. It's just so easy to pull out and pop on a blade of choice and take care of a problem. For grins and giggles I threw on an aggressive blade and cut through a 2X4 fast enough to realize that I can do it if I'm away from my tools and not be slowed down. Oh, and the threading on the end of the saw that allows for an extension such as a broom handle to be attached is icing on the cake. Buy it. It's of sturdy construction, and even if you only every use it as a keyhole saw, you will have made a wise buy.
Customer Review: A Jewel! Summary: 5 StarsAll the 5-start reviews listed here are true. It is a great little tool. I keep it with my Sawzal -- and it comes in really handy. A bit pricey, but if you can get it on any special or part of a package, grab it.
Customer Review: Thought it was just a gimmick; I was wrong!! Summary: 5 StarsSince they were offering this little hand tool free with their Orbital Sawzall I figured it was probably junk. The quik-lok job saw is by no means junk. It is as well made as Milwaukee's Sawzalls and provides as much utility. The hand saw uses standard reciprocating saw blades and boasts the same tooless blade release mechanism (Quik-Lok) found on the Sawzalls. I have found the soft grip handle also very comfortable. I have used this little saw more often than I ever would have thought. Sometimes a reciprocating saw is overkill and you just want to make a small neat cut in a fragile area. This tool is often the best choice. For $20.00 you can't go wrong; obviously it won't replace your reciprocating saw but it certainly will facilitate its use.
Customer Review: Great quality - good feel Summary: 5 StarsGreat quality and feel to this item - holds the blade like a vise and at a slight angle to relieve stress on the wrist. The spring-loaded locking collar is industrial design at it's best. Buy the variety pack of blades and you're all set to go. You won't be disappointed.
Customer Review: Great keyhole/work saw Summary: 5 StarsThis has a much more sturdy handle then I expected. Not like other brands I've looked at. It holds the blades in place very well and it's design is comfortable to hold & use. The threaded end for attaching an extension pole looks like it may be a weak point. The plastic is a little thin and looks as if it may not take the kind of force you would apply on an extension pole, but in their defense I haven't tried to use it that way. I feel Milwaukee once again has earned their reputation for building quality hand tools. I would highly recommend it.
